Rumor: Angels to make pitch for Santana

The focus on Johan Santana appears to be switching coasts. With the Yankees claiming to be out of the bidding and the Red Sox apparently not willing to offer what the Twins want, MLB.com is reporting that the Angels are willing to jump into the fray. If true that would mean that the Halos have given up on acquiring Miguel Cabrera from the Marlins. Los Angeles has a surplus of young players but not enough to make both deal possible.
