Fresh off last night's blown save by Jonathan Broxton, the Los Angeles Dodgers have traded for Baltimore Orioles closer, George Sherrill.
MLB.com is reporting that the Dodgers gave up third baseman Josh Bell, pitcher Steve Johnson, and two prospects in exchange for Sherrill who has compiled 20 saves with a 2.40 ERA.
It's unclear whether Dodger manager, Joe Torre will opt to use Sherrill as a set-up man, or in the closer role he's been in with Baltimore for the past few years.
