ESPN.com is reporting that the Detroit Tigers have agreed to a three year contract extension with newly acquired pitcher Dontrelle Willis. The deal is reportedly worth $29 million and, assuming Willis rebounds from his performance last year, could end up being a bargain for the Tigers. I wouldn't have thought almost $10 million a year for a pitcher who had an ERA over 5 last season would seem like a good deal, but considering the way the price of pitching has been going, it probably won't be long before that's the case.
