Next on Rockies Radar: Lidge, Jurrjens

Now that the Colorado Rockies have cleared Huston Street’s salary from the books by trading him to San Diego, FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal tweets they may be looking at free agent closer Brad Lidge, who is a Denver native.

Danny Knobler of CBSSports.com calls the Rockies’ interest in Lidge “mild.”

Other reports, however, say the Rockies focus is on starting pitching, and Thomas Harding of MLB.com says the Braves’ Jair Jurrjens is at the top of Colorado’s list.

I’m thinking it would take a lot to deal for him, however. Jurrjens is just 25 and was an All Star in 2011, going 13-6 with a 2.96 ERA for Atlanta.
