Angels Win Again – They Will Sign C.J. Wilson

Joel Sherman of the New York Post has reported that the Angels will sign free agent lefty starter C.J. Wilson today, on the same day they landed one of the best hitters in the history of baseball.

Wilson joins a rotation that includes Jered Weaver, Dan Haren, and Ervin Santana. All four men could be considered #1 type guys, and they’re all on the same team. That could be very scary for the opposition come playoff time.

The Marlins may have gotten a lot of attention earlier this week, but it’s the Angels that clearly have won the Winter Meetings.

UPDATE: Buster Olney tweets the details of the deal: $77.5 million over 5 years.
