Jack Cust Joins Yanks

The Yankees and Jack Cust have agreed to a minor league contract, tweets Sweeney Murti of WFAN Sports Radio.

Cust, who was just released by the Astros, will play for the Yankees AAA team and could join the Bronx Bombers as a DH if Raul Ibanez struggles or is injured. In 2011, Cust played for the Mariners and hit .213 with 3 home runs and 23 RBI, though he got on base at a .344 clip.
