Martin filed for $8.2MM while the team countered with $7MM, according MLBTR's Arbitration Tracker.

The 28-year old backstop signed a one-year deal worth $4MM with the Yankees last offseason after being shunned by the Dodgers.

In 2011 he hit .237/.324/.408 with 18 homers and eight steals during his first year with the Yanks, while leading all Major League catchers with 35 base runners caught stealing.

Originally selected by the Dodgers in the 17th round of the 2002 First-Year Player Draft, Martin owns a career .267 (737-for-2,761) batting average with 404R, 132 doubles, 72HR and 365RBI in 792 combined games with the Dodgers and Yankees.

Martin is a three-time All-Star and also won a Gold Glove in 2007, and is a solid player behind the plate.
