Rumor: Yanks to pursue Lowell, Sox to pursue A-Rod?

by pops on November 13, 2007

Newsday reports that the Yankees are interested in World Series MVP Mike Lowell. The Red Sox supposedly want to retain Lowell but have only offered three years and he wants four. The Yankees, minus A-Rod’s hefty salary, could certainly afford to offer that. Of course, if the Sox lose Lowell, they’re likely to enter the bidding for A-Rod (who probably deserves a rumor section all his own). Note to Red Sox: Open the wallet now!

Editor’s Note: Ask and you shall receive. We now have an A-Rod Rumors section.

I think it’s a pretty good idea giving A-Rod his own category. He’s THE story of the offseason.

That’s not a bad idea Al. He is unfortunately THE story so we’ll have to cover him. I’d rather ignore the spoiled brat and his stickup artist of an agent. ;)
