The Washington Nationals have reportedly scratched left fielder Josh Willingham from the lineup.
While a club spokesman is currently saying it's "an injury thing" trade rumors have been swirling around Willingham for several days now.
This time of year, any time a player is scratched from the lineup late like this, it usually suggestes a trade is coming.
The San Francisco Giants have scouted Willingham recently and could certainly use a boost to their lineup, but the Phillies and several other teams have been rumored to have interest in the outfielder who's batting .300 with 16 home runs.
