Update: It turned out to be more like 80 but you can click here to read the entire list of Mitchell Report Names.
The NYT is reporting that the Mitchell report is complete and that it will name more than 50 past and current major league players linked to performance-enhancing drugs. Anonymous individual report that MLB's reaction was that the report was "harsh" and that the Players' Union is "upset."
The report will be released Thursday at separate news conferences my George Mitchell and baseball commissioner Bud Selig.

I can only hope that it is harsh and pisses everyone in baseball off. The owners and players share the blame on this one as well as the commissioner’s office. To be honest, I don’t think there are only 50 guys using in the league though. That’s a bit of a disappointment in my mind.
Everyone involved in baseball over the past two decades – - commissioners, club officials, the players association, the players — shares to some extent in the responsibility for the steroids era,” There was a collective failure to recognize the problem as it emerged and to deal with it early on.”
I agree with Steve that everyone involved in baseball is at fault. However, I really feel sorry for those athletes who did not use steroids but had to watch the others around them all doing them.
